1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Lost Paws application and website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you do not have permission to access the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use the Service. By using Lost Paws you confirm you meet this requirement. The Service is not intended for children.

3. User Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate, complete, and current information. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account.

You may register with email and password or, on supported devices, Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. User Conduct

Our platform is dedicated to reuniting lost pets with their owners. You agree not to use the Service:

In any way that violates any applicable national or international law or regulation.
To post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings.
To harass, abuse, or harm another person or community member.
To scrape, bulk-download, or systematically harvest listing contact details or other users' personal data.
To submit false, malicious, or harassing "community sighting" tips or to misuse optional reporter contact details.

5. Listings and community sightings

Lost Paws helps neighbours share information about lost and found pets. You are responsible for the accuracy of content you post, including photos, descriptions, and map locations.

Community sightings (tips on lost listings) are submitted by other users. They are not verified by Lost Paws. Pets can look alike; a tip may be wrong, outdated, or posted in error. We do not guarantee that any sighting will lead to a reunion. Listing owners may dismiss tips and may request reporter contact only when the reporter chose to share it.

Published listings and approximate map areas may be visible to other users and guests as described in our Privacy Policy. Do not publish contact details you are unwilling to share with signed-in users who request them for lost listings.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding Content provided by users), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Lost Paws and its licensors. You retain ownership of photos and text you upload, but grant us the rights needed to display listings as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lost Paws is not liable for the acts of users, the accuracy of listings or sightings, or outcomes of attempts to find a pet. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

8. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time from the mobile app (Profile → Delete my account) or by emailing us. Deletion removes your account and configured data from our systems as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or put the community at risk.
